Heinz Matysik

Chairman

Heinz is a Chambers-ranked Pacific Islands lawyer and Principal of Little & Matysik P.C., the pre-eminent Cook Islands law firm. He is also Chairman of the Cook Islands National Superannuation Fund, a member of the Cook Islands Public Expenditure Review Committee, and Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cook Islands, and previously sat on the Board of the Cook Islands Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC).

Before settling permanently in Cook Islands in 2009, Heinz was a lawyer in New Zealand (for a leading US law firm), United Kingdom (London), and Germany (Frankfurt and Munich). He was admitted as barrister and solicitor of the High Courts of New Zealand (2000) and Cook Islands (2009), has extensive experience in banking and finance, commercial and corporate law, and conveyancing, and holds a LLB and a LLM (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland.
