Atinata joined a Cook Islands trust company in 2003, where she worked in a number of customer service and operational roles. In 2008, she joined CSB as a banking officer, and was later promoted to her current position. 

During her career, she has acquired a deep knowledge of transactional banking, especially cross-border payments, SWIFT processing, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance requirements.
