About the role
The Relationship Officer at CSB plays a key role in supporting both the Relationship and the Account Management teams across the CSB Investors Group. The role is client-facing, with a strong focus on onboarding new clients, managing the verification process, and ensuring a smooth transition into CSB’s banking services. It covers the full client lifecycle, from account opening through to relationship management, retention, and exit processes. The Relationship Officer balances client service with compliance obligations, while also contributing to business growth through cross-selling and upselling opportunities. This role works closely with the wider account management teams to deliver seamless service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- The key function of this role is to assist with client onboarding, managing account openings by collecting, verifying, and processing documentation within agreed timeframes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless client experience.
- Support engagement with key referrers and their clients by providing high-quality service, helping to strengthen referral partnerships, and assisting in the development of new business opportunities.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to refer potential cross-selling and upselling of banking products, contributing to increased client value and revenue.
- Support the Relationship team to address client needs, resolve inquiries promptly, and deliver tailored solutions that enhance and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Conduct thorough due diligence and screening in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring all onboarding and account management activities remain compliant and risk managed.
- Collaborate closely with the Relationship team and the wider banking team to deliver consistent, high-quality service, maintain accurate CRM records, and support the effective delivery of daily operations.
Requirements
- Experience in offshore banking or financial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of CRM systems or willingness to learn, with the ability to build strong client and colleague relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
- Background in sales or customer service is desirable, with proven ability to support growth and maintain client satisfaction.
- Proactive in identifying issues and finding solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with clients and team members.
- Collaborative team player who supports the Senior Relationship Manager in achieving goals.
