About the role

The Relationship Manager at CSB plays a key role in supporting both the Relationship and the Account Management teams across the CSB Investors Group. The role is client-facing, with a strong focus on onboarding new clients, managing the verification process, and ensuring a smooth transition into CSB’s banking services. It covers the full client lifecycle, from account opening through to relationship management, retention, and exit processes. The Relationship Manager balances client service with compliance obligations, while also contributing to business growth through cross-selling and upselling opportunities. This role works closely with the wider account management teams to deliver seamless service and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • The key function of this role is to lead client onboarding, managing account openings by collecting, verifying, and processing documentation within agreed timeframes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless client experience.
  • Prioritise engagement with key referrers and their clients, ensuring a high standard of service delivery to strengthen referral partnerships and drive new business.
  • Drive business growth by identifying opportunities to promote banking products through strategic cross-selling and upselling, increasing client value and revenue.
  • Support the Senior Relationship Manager to address client needs, resolve inquiries promptly, and deliver tailored solutions that enhance and strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and screening in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring all onboarding and account management activities remain compliant and risk managed.
  • Manage account exits with efficiency and transparency in accordance with established bank policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Relationship Manager and the wider banking team to deliver consistent, high-quality service, maintain accurate CRM records, and support the effective delivery of daily operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in offshore banking or international financial services, with the ability to apply industry knowledge to complex client and regulatory environments.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM systems and client relationship management practices, with the capability to lead engagement strategies, foster trusted relationships, and deliver tailored solutions to high-value clients.
  • Demonstrated track record in business development, sales, or client management, with the ability to drive growth, retain key clients, and strengthen referral networks.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills, with the judgment to anticipate challenges, develop solutions, and implement improvements that enhance client service and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and international stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experienced leader and collaborator, able to support and guide the Senior Relationship Manager while working across teams to achieve divisional and organisational objectives.
